The ACFD/AFDC promotes excellence in dental education and recognizes outstanding achievement with the presentation of the ACFD Distinguished Service Award, Bisco National Dentistry Teaching Award and the W.W. Wood Award for Excellence in Dental Education.
ACFD Distinguished Service Award
The ACFD Distinguished Service Award was established in 2008 to recognize individuals or groups who have made significant contributions to dental education in Canada. See past recipients.
ACFD National Dental Teaching Award
The ACFD National Dental Teaching Award is a project initiative of the Association of Canadian Faculties of Dentistry.
This award is presented annually to a faculty member who, in the opinion of his or her students and peers, has displayed the qualities of an outstanding teacher and has displayed exceptional interest in, and enthusiasm for, the learning needs of students. See past recipients.
ACFD-CADR National Dental Research Award
